Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Guwahati Arrival and Transfer to Bhalukpong / Nameri National Park

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet our representative who will transfer you to Bhalukpong or Nameri National Park. Stay for Overnight.

This area, known for its lush landscapes and rich biodiversity, is an excellent habitat for a variety of wildlife, including elephants, tigers, leopards, and the Asiatic wild dog. Spend the night in a hotel or eco-camp, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature.

Day 2 - Bhalukpong / Nameri National Park to Dirang

Start your day with a refreshing walk along the Jia Bhorali River or opt for an exhilarating river rafting experience. After breakfast, drive to Dirang, a quaint town home to the Monpa tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. Along the way, visit the Sessa Orchid Sanctuary and Tippi Orchid Center to witness the region's unique flora. Dirang, with its snow-clad Himalayan ranges and spiritual ambiance, offers the perfect escape into nature.

Spend the night in Dirang, enjoying its tranquil charm.

Day 3 - Dirang to Tawang

After an early breakfast, set off for the enchanting town of Tawang, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Arunachal Pradesh. The drive through the beautiful Dirang Valley takes you to the majestic Sela Pass at 13,703 feet. En route, you will be greeted by the sight of bubbling rivers and colorful local tribes.

Upon reaching Tawang, spend some time at the serene Paradise Lake before continuing to your hotel. In the evening, explore the Craft Center and a traditional Monpa Village. Stay overnight in Tawang.

Day 4 - Excursion to Bumla Pass and Tawang Local Sightseeing

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to Bumla Pass, situated at an elevation of 15,200 feet on the India-China border. After visiting Bumla Pass, return to Y Junction and visit Maduri Lake and PTso Lake. You will also visit the Gurudwara located near the lakes.

Note: Only local vehicles from Tawang are permitted for this excursion which charges ₹5500 on direct payment basis.

After returning to Tawang, visit the historic Tawang Monastery, home to over 500 monks and priceless Buddhist texts. Later, embark on a short trek to Bramdungchung Ani Gompa, the oldest Ani Gompa in Tawang, nestled in the scenic mountains. In the evening, visit Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama, and explore a Monpa Village.

Day 5 - Tawang to Bomdila

After breakfast, drive back to Bomdila, stopping along the way to visit the 1962 Indo-China War Memorial. This memorial honors Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, who heroically fought against Chinese forces. Continue your journey through scenic landscapes, including snow-clad peaks such as Kangto, Nyegi Kangsang, and Gorichen.

Upon arrival in Bomdila, check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Spend the night in Bomdila.

Day 6 - Bomdila to Guwahati

Post breakfast, embark on a scenic drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant markets of Guwahati, particularly Fancy Bazar, where you can shop for local goods and souvenirs. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 7 - Guwahati Local Sightseeing and Departure

After breakfast, visit the renowned Kamakhya Temple located atop Nilachal Hills. If time permits, explore additional sites such as the Silk Emporium, Assam State Museum, Assam State Zoo, Balaji Temple, and Umananda Temple.

Following your sightseeing tour, our representative will drop you off at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding your tour with High Hills Tours and Travels.
