Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Guwahati Arrival and Transfer to Cherrapunjee
Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Shillong, famously known as the Scotland of the East. En route, make a stop at the stunning Umium Lake, also referred to as Barapani Lake. Here, you can take in the tranquil beauty of the valley and perhaps sample some local delicacies at the nearby roadside stalls.
Continuing your journey, you will visit the Shillong Peak, which offers panoramic views of the city and its surroundings, and the famous Elephant Falls, a multi-tiered cascade that is one of Shillong's prime attractions. As you make your way towards Cherrapunjee, you will pass through the picturesque Mawdok Dympep Valley, known for its lush greenery and scenic vistas.
Upon arrival in Cherrapunjee, you will have the evening at your leisure to explore the local area or simply relax and soak in the serene atmosphere. Overnight accommodations will be arranged in Cherrapunjee, ensuring a comfortable and restful night.
Day 2 - Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing and Transfer to Guwahati
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, embark on a full day of exploration in Cherrapunjee. Your first stop will be the awe-inspiring Seven Sisters' Waterfall, followed by a visit to the Dainthlen Falls and the stunning Wei Sawdong Waterfall. Next, you will marvel at the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and stroll through the beautiful Eco Park, which offers sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
Post-lunch, you will venture into the intriguing Mawsmai Cave and the lesser-known but equally fascinating Arwah Cave, both of which offer unique limestone formations and a sense of adventure.
In the late afternoon, you will begin your return journey to Guwahati, with ample time to reflect on the natural beauty and cultural richness of Meghalaya. Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, bringing this enchanting tour to a close.
